Iván Ferreiro

Iván Ferreiro (Nigrán-Galicia) is an indie rock and pop rock songwriter who was the leader, singer, and main songwriter for the well-known band ‘Los Piratas’ for 13 years of his musical career, releasing 12 albums and leaving a musical legacy that is still revered.

After splitting from Los Piratas in late 2003, Iván decided to continue in the music world together with his brother Amaro Ferreiro, presenting the eclectic show ‘Rai Doriva y As Ferreiro’. In 2005, he released ‘Canciones para el tiempo y la distancia’, an album that would establish him as a solo singer and influence the entire Spanish pop-rock music scene at the time. The album includes such popular songs as ‘Turnedo’, the artist’s greatest hit. That is where his interesting career began with records like: ‘Las siete y media’ (2006), ‘Mentiroso mentiroso’ (2008), ‘Picnic extraterrestre’ (2010), ‘Confesiones de un artista de mierda’ (2011), ‘Val Miñor- Madrid’ (2013), ‘Casa’ (2016), ‘Fariña Misturas’, and ‘Cena Recalentada’ (2018). Under his belt are hundreds of concerts: Spain, Mexico, Berlin… In 2021, he kicked off a particularly special tour: ‘Cuentos y canciones’, where the artist revisited his history and explained how some of his songs came to be in a format somewhere between concert and storytelling. Following this success, Iván presented ‘Canciones 2022’, a special, infallible show including the biggest hits of his 7 solo records and some anthems from his days with Los Piratas.
